Rev. Taegyu Shin

Pastor Taegyu Shin comes to Hancock after serving as pastor for two congregations in Eau Claire, Wisconsin. Originally from South Korea, he was ordained in the U.S. in 2003. He studied and served at the Claremont School of Theology in California, then moved to Michigan, where he was associate pastor at the very large Korean United Methodist Church in Troy, then was pastor at the Big Rapids First United Methodist Church, before moving to Wisconsin. He and his wife Cindy have two sons: Mark is a student at Oakland University, and Steven is a student at the Chippewa Valley Technical Center (but planning to transfer to Michigan Tech).
